About this Election

Details on this election:  District 5 has two seats coming up for election in November 2026:  a 2-year seat and a 4-year seat.  There is a 3rd seat that comes up for re-election in 2028.  I am running for the 4-year seat up for election in November 2026.  For this seat, if there are multiple candidates for each party, there will be a primary election in April 2026.  Signature-gathering for this and all 2026 elections was moved up a few years ago and now starts next month, in August, with petition filing later this year - so I am starting my candidacy now.

Turnout for these non-Presdential elections is historically low, so I need your support – every vote will count, and this election may well be decided by a few votes – we had local elections in November come down to a few dozen votes out of thousands cast.  Please let me know if you need assistance with early or absentee voting, or with finding or getting to your local polling place.
